Does it cost less to maintain a hybrid car?
Does it cost less to maintain a hybrid vehicle than a gas-powered vehicle? I've read that hybrid vehicles might be less expensive to operate and less to maintain. Is this true?

“Overall, the cost to maintain a hybrid car is very similar to how much it costs to maintain a gas-powered car. That means common maintenance costs similar to gas-powered vehicles, like:
- Oil changes
- Tire rotations
- Tuneups
However, the huge difference comes with the hybrid’s battery and gas engine powertrain system.
If something goes wrong with the battery, you’re in for a financial beating. Not only will you need to shell out money for
towing and labor coverage
or roadside assistance to take your car to the shop, but you’ll have sticker shock when you hear how much it is to repair the battery system.On average, the cost to repair this system is up to $6,000, which sometimes isn’t financially worth it to even conduct the repair. If you’re going to buy a hybrid, just make sure to keep a watchful eye on the battery or think of buying a warranty.
