Does home insurance cover personal property?
I'm looking into home insurance and I'm wondering if any policies cover property? I want to make sure my stuff is covered in case of damage.

“Several coverages make up home insurance, including personal property, which is all of your stuff.
When looking at an HO-2 or HO-3 home insurance policy, you’ll see Coverages A, B, C, and D. They are:
- Dwelling
- Other Structures
- Personal Property
- Loss of Use
There also is a second section that contains Coverages E and F. Those are:
- Personal Liability
- Medical Payments to Others
For personal property, or Coverage C, your homeowners insurance covers it anywhere in the world. There are specific types of personal property included and excluded in the coverage.
Certain types of damage can also be excluded. Most coverage is on an actual cash value basis, but you can opt for replacement cost coverage. When looking to insure your personal property, you also want to make sure your limit is high enough to cover all of your property.
In some cases, your home insurance may also cover theft of property from your car, especially if it’s parked on your property. This is great news because most
car insurance
