Does home insurance cover leaking skylights?
We had a pretty big hail storm that damaged our roof. We just noticed one of our skylights is now leaking. Will our home insurance cover leaking skylights?

Oh no! Leaking skylights are definitely not good! If the hail storm was the cause of damage, your home insurance will cover leaking skylights.
Since hail is a

, any damage it causes to your home would have coverage. That said, your home insurance doesn’t cover damage from things like:- Lack of maintenance

- Wear and tear
- Faulty repair
