Does car insurance in California cover fires?

I live in California. Wildfires are common and I want to protect my vehicle. Is there a type of insurance I can add to my policy for protection?

Comprehensive coverage
covers wildfires when you add it to your California car insurance.

car insurance
policies during a natural disaster event. If wildfires are occuring, you may not be able to add comprehensive coverage until the risk has been reduced.
To find out whether you can add comprehensive to your policy and how much it costs, reach out to your insurance company directly. They can provide you with any additional information you might need.”
