If you’re struggling to connect to Bluetooth in your 2015
Ford Focus
, first make sure there’s enough room in your Ford’s SYNC system to store a new device. A Ford Focus can be paired with as many as twelve devices—but if you’re someone who freely shares in-car audio streaming with friends or family, you may need to go back into the system and make room for your new device by deleting an old one.
If you’ve double-checked that there’s enough room in the system for your new phone, try manually turning your device’s Bluetooth OFF and back ON, then follow these steps:
  • Select Phone on your Ford’s SYNC display, then select Add Phone to make your car discoverable to your phone
  • Go back into your phone’s settings and select your 2015 Focus from the list of available Bluetooth devices (it may appear as Ford SYNC or Ford Focus)
  • Confirm the pairing request on your SYNC display screen, and confirm the six-digit PIN on your mobile device if prompted
  • Allow the system one to two minutes to complete pairing
Once pairing is complete, you should get a confirmation message on your display screen, letting you know you’re ready to start enjoying hands-free audio streaming and calling.
