Does California have toll roads?
I’m traveling to California next summer to visit a friend. I want to drive to save money compared to flying, but I want to know what to expect when I drive through the state. Are there any toll roads in California?
Answer provided by
California does have toll roads, but not as many as other states. All of the state’s toll roads are in San Diego County, Orange County, and the Bay Area. Here’s a list of all of them:
- State Route 73
- State Route 125 (the only one in San Diego County)
- State Route 133
- State Route 241
- State Route 261
The Bay Area’s tolls, all correspond to bridges:
- Golden Gate Bridge
- San Mateo-Hayward Bridge
- San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge
- Richmond-San Rafael Bridge
- Dumbarton Bridge
- Carquinez Bridge
- Benicia-Martinez Bridge
- Antioch Bridge

Should I apply with a different lender if I was already denied a loan for $20,000?
"I want to buy a car for $20,000. I don't have money for a down payment, but if I had to, I could probably get a cash advance from my credit card to put down $2,000. My credit score is 658, but many of the derogatory marks are from my parents opening up credit cards in my name and using them without my consent. I was already denied at one lender. Should I apply with a different one?"
