How do I open the gas tank on an Audi Q8?
I just bought a new Audi Q8 and so far, I love it, but I’m having a hard time figuring out how to open the gas tank. Where can I find it so I can fill my car up with gas?

Happy to hear you’re loving your new Audi! To open the gas tank on an
Audi Q8
, simply follow these steps:- First, unlock your SUV (if necessary).
- Then, locate the fuel door near the rear passenger side door.
- Press and release the left side of the fuel door to pop it open.
- You should see the gas tank cap. Twist the cap counterclockwise to open it.
- Set the cap on the fuel door hitch to hold it in place.
From there, you can insert the fuel pump nozzle into the gas tank and begin refueling your vehicle. When you’re finished fueling, wait five seconds before removing the nozzle from the gas tank so that excess fuel can continue leaking into the tank. Just twist the gas cap back on and click the fuel door into place and congratulations—you’re all done!
Keep in mind that, per the Owner’s Manual, Audi recommends only using “TOP TIER” (or Premium) gasoline in your Audi Q8. If you use the wrong fuel over time, your Q8’s engine performance may be inhibited by combustion residue.
