Does a 2016 Jeep Patriot have Bluetooth?
I drive a pretty old car but since it’s a higher trim, it has a lot of great features. It’s nearing the end of its life and I’m shopping for a new-to-me replacement. I’ve always loved the look of the Jeep Patriot and the 2016 models seem to be in my price range, but I’m wondering if they come with tech features like Bluetooth.

You’re in luck! All trims of the 2016
Jeep Patriot
models are equipped with Bluetooth technology. Even the base Sport trim comes set with a four-speaker stereo, SiriusXM satellite radio, an auxiliary audio jack, and Uconnect technology, so you should be good to go if you prefer the cheaper trim option. To get access to basic comfort features like air conditioning, power windows, and power door locks, you’ll have to bump up to a higher trim like the
Jeep Patriot Latitude
, which also adds on plenty of high-tech features. No matter which trim you go with, here’s how you can connect your phone to the 2016 Jeep Patriot via Bluetooth:
- First, select the “phone” button on your infotainment system. This will look like an icon of a phone to the left of the screen.
- You should hear the system say “ready.” Say “set up” to access the menu.
- After hearing the menu options, say “device pairing.” Then answer “pair a device.”
- The system will prompt you to say a four-digit PIN. You can create and state the number you choose, then confirm the number when prompted.
- You’ll be asked to give the device a name, so you’ll state whatever name you want to give your phone for your Jeep and confirm.
- You will be prompted to assign a priority level between one and seven for this device, one being the highest. If you want your Jeep to connect with your phone first, assign your device as “one.”
- Open the Bluetooth menu on your phone, turn it on, and start the pairing process.
- Select “UConnect” from your phone’s menu, and enter the PIN you created earlier.
And voila! Your phone should now be connected to your 2016 Jeep Patriot’s Bluetooth system.
