make it an excellent choice of vehicle for a teen driver. Unfortunately, your daughter probably won’t be thrilled to learn that the 2012 CR-V does not have Bluetooth. It wasn’t until the 2013 model year that
Honda
began offering Bluetooth as a feature on the CR-V. That year, it came standard on all trim levels. Whether or not the lack of Bluetooth is a dealbreaker for you, it’s a good thing you checked for it ahead of time. Finding the technology features you want on a car is just one of many things you should
look for when buying a used car
. And if the absence of Bluetooth is unacceptable for you, then you have a couple of options. You can shop around for a 2013 or newer CR-V—or you can
add a Bluetooth adapter
to the 2012 model. They’re easy to install and pretty inexpensive. In fact, you can find some for only $6!Whichever option you go with, make sure your daughter knows how to operate the Bluetooth functions with voice commands so you don’t have to worry about
distracted driving
