Does a 2012 Ford Fusion have Bluetooth?

I’m on the hunt for a used vehicle for my teen, but I still want it to have some basic modern amenities (like music streaming, hands-free calling, etc.) for her to use. I found a great price on a 2012 Ford Fusion, but I’m worried the car is too dated. Does the 2012 Fusion have Bluetooth?

The 2012
Ford Fusion
features Bluetooth capabilities in some trim levels, but the feature doesn’t come standard.
To get it, you’ll have to select the
Fusion SE
or SEL trim levels, then add on Ford’s optional SYNC system for an extra price.
Bluetooth becomes an option in the Fusion SE, which is one trim level above the base “S” model. While the base Fusion has a starting MSRP of just $20,000, the one-up SE trim begins at $22,975, and even paying that extra 3k won’t guarantee Bluetooth capability.
In addition to selecting a higher trim, you’ll also need to adopt Ford’s optional SYNC package for an extra $400, which enables you to connect mobile devices via Bluetooth to the Ford SYNC system.
While Ford’s SYNC system has overwhelmingly positive reviews for ease of use and convenience, not every driver wants to pay the extra $3,500 it takes to get it in the 2012 Fusion. If Bluetooth capability is a priority in your vehicle, you may want to take a closer look at competitors like the 2012
Hyundai Sonata
or
Nissan Altima
, both of which come with Bluetooth as a standard feature.
