Do parking tickets you receive in the mail affect your insurance?

I got a ticket in the mail for parking in a no parking zone. I wasn't aware at the time that I was in a no parking zone. Will this affect my insurance?

“Parking tickets and other violations you receive in the mail typically don’t impact your
car insurance
. Because these violations are at a town and city level, they aren’t reported to the state DMV or the police.
As a result, they won’t show on your driving record. The only time they may show on your driving record is if you leave them unpaid or don’t show up to a court hearing. When you do this, the court may issue you a ticket or points on your license, which would show up on your driving record.
In some cases, you may also face a license suspension for unpaid parking tickets or risk having your car being booted.
If either of these situations happens, you would see an increase in your driving record. To prevent any further consequences, pay your ticket on time. As long as it’s resolved, you should have no issues.
