Can you remove the wing from a GT3?

I just bought a brand new 2022 Porsche 911 GT3 and I really hate the wing. I was wondering if I could remove it. Or will that cause performance problems?

Great question! Congratulations on your new GT3! That’s a great car! The good news is that you can remove the wing from a
Porsche
911 GT3. Doing so won’t really make much difference—except at very high speeds.
The purpose of the wing (or any spoiler) is to minimize wind resistance and create downforce. This helps to improve grip and traction. In reality, though, this only makes a noticeable difference at high speeds. When cruising or using city streets, removing your GT3 wing won’t impact your performance or handling.
You will need to purchase a Porsche 911 GT3 wing
deletion kit
in order to remove it properly. FabSpeed makes a good deletion kit–it’ll cost about $1,500.
A high-quality vehicle like a Porsche deserves equally high-quality
car insurance
. Unlike the GT3, however, great insurance doesn’t have to cost a bundle!
