Can you mix ethanol and non-ethanol gas in a car?

This morning, I was in a rush and accidentally filled my 2014 Nissan Sentra with non-ethanol gas. I’ve only ever used ethanol and my tank was half-full. Is this bad?

You’re all good—mixing ethanol and non-ethanol gas won’t affect your car. Most modern vehicles are designed to run on gasoline. Minor changes to this formula, such as ethanol, won’t damage your engine and might even improve your gas mileage.
Most cars can comfortably run ethanol gas blends up to 15% as a suitable measurement. Flex-fuel vehicles increase this number to 85%. Your vehicle should have no problem running ethanol fuels, though you should avoid the habit of mixing them—and should always default to your
