Can you fail your driving test for coasting?

I tend to coast while I’m driving, and I’ve never thought much of it. I have a driving test coming up, but I’m worried that coasting isn’t acceptable. Will I fail my driving test for coasting?

Don’t stress if you’re a perennial coaster behind the wheel. You cannot fail your driving test for coasting unless you’re driving a manual shift car. If you’re taking the test on a manual car, coasting itself may not cause you to fail automatically, but it may cost you a few points.
Ask the instructor before the test or call the DMV to find out if coasting is allowed. If it isn’t, start practicing now to avoid coasting when you’re ready to take the exam. You should also practice other
