Can you drive an electric car through water?

With the way gas prices are now, I’m seriously considering switching over to an electric car. I just have one caveat, which is that I live in an area prone to flooding. Can you drive an electric car through water?

That’s a great question. Electric cars can drive through shallow amounts of water just like any other car, and you’re not at any kind of higher risk of electrocution just because the car is electric.
That being said, flood damage can be uniquely hard to deal with for any car, so use extreme caution when driving through water.
If you live in an area that is prone to inclement weather such as flooding or
hurricanes
, you want to be sure that water never gets into the inside of your car.
