Can you cancel renters insurance?
I’m planning on moving from an apartment I rent to a house I’ll be owning. I’d like to move within the next three months, but my renters insurance ends in about six months. Can I cancel my renters insurance early?

Going from renting to owning a home is exciting; congratulations! The good news is that you can cancel your renters insurance at any time, even if it’s before your policy’s end-of date.
The possible bad news is that some companies charge a small cancellation fee that you would have to pay if you’re canceling your policy early. You’ll also still have to pay any owed premiums.
