An affidavit of non-use essentially allows you to own an uninsured vehicle. Once you’ve paused your car insurance policy, you’ll need the following handy to file an affidavit of non-use:
- Your license plate number
- Your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)
- Insurance policy number
- Proof of registration
