Are there toll roads in Iowa?

I’m moving to Iowa, but I’m from the East Coast. Everywhere I drive on the coast, it’s tollways. When all is said and done, it adds up quite a bit. Hopefully, Iowa isn’t the same. Are there any tollways in Iowa?

Congrats on the move to the Breadbasket of America! If you’re worried about tolls, relax. Iowa is one of the few states in the country that has no toll roads, so you don’t need to worry about any extra expenditures.
However, if you want to road trip, note that four surrounding states have toll roads, including:
  • Illinois
  • Minnesota
  • Missouri
  • Illinois
