Are struts covered under the Toyota warranty?

The other day, I was driving and I noticed that my suspension seemed a bit rough. When I got home, I jacked the car up and looked underneath. To my surprise, one of the struts was completely broken. Does the Toyota warranty cover struts?

warranty will only cover struts if the damage or repair is a direct result of a manufacturer’s error or defect. You will need to take the car to the dealership to get a proper diagnosis and see if it’s covered.
However, Toyota may reject your warranty claim if they deem that the malfunctioning strut is the result of general wear and tear or a lack of routine maintenance. The only way to know for sure is to take your car to the dealer.
