Are struts covered under Chevy warranty?

I’ve only had my Chevy for a couple of years, and I have a sneaking suspicion my struts are already wearing out. Will they be covered under warranty?

Good thinking checking on your warranty! Struts should be covered under your Chevy warranty as long as they were damaged due to defects in material or workmanship. Struts will not be covered, however, if the damage was sustained by an accident, misuse, or regular wear and tear. No matter what, it’s always best to ask your local Chevy dealership since many warranties exclude struts.
Chevy’s Bumper-to-Bumper Limited Warranty lasts for three years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. Chevy also includes a Powertrain Limited Warranty for five years or 60,000 miles. Other warranties from Chevy include an Emissions Control Systems Warranty, Roadside Assistance, Corrosion Protection, Rust-Through Protection, and a free first maintenance visit.
No matter how tight your
car’s warranty
is, it won’t cover any damage your vehicle sustains from collisions, weather events, vandalism, or freak incidents. For that kind of protection, you’ll want to find a solid

policy.
