are electric cars good in the snow?
I’ve just got my hands on a new electric car, but there’s been a bit of snow recently. I know that technology is very good these days, but can I still rely on my ride in the snow? Or am I going to be a little cautious when I’m out there?

That’s a fair question. It does seem like snow and electricity are a terrible mix. That would be the case if EV technology wasn’t so great. These days, though, you don’t have to worry. EVs are specially designed to cope with the elements—with a specific emphasis on snow and rain.
In fact, there’s evidence to suggest that your EV might be better in the snow than some gas-powered vehicles. It’s mostly down to their hyper-intelligent design.
Because they need to accommodate large batteries, EVs have an excellent distribution of weight and a low center of gravity. That makes them very nimble, and able to respond quickly to treacherous road conditions.
