Are CV joints covered under a Ford warranty?

I’m in the market for a new car. Ford is on my radar, but I’m not sure how well its warranty stacks up against competitors. In the past, I’ve had issues with CV joints on Ford vehicles, so I want to make sure it’s covered. Does the Ford warranty cover CV joints?

You can rest easily. CV joints are covered under the Ford bumper-to-bumper warranty on all new cars for up to 3 years or 36,000 miles—whichever comes first. However, the damage to the CV joints is only covered if it’s the result of a manufacturer defect or poor workmanship out of the factory.
CV damage due to an accident, off-roading, or general wear and tear is not covered by any warranty. If the damage occurs due to any of these issues, you’re on the hook for the repair bill.
