Are brakes covered under the Chevy warranty?

Sorry to hear your Chevy’s having brake problems! The brakes are covered by Chevy’s three-year/36,000-mile bumper-to-bumper limited warranty, so long as they fail due to a manufacturer error. Since your Chevrolet is new, it’s likely that your brakes will fall in this category.
However, if it’s determined that the brakes are failing due to wear and tear, an accident, or an alteration you’ve made to the car, the Chevy warranty will not cover your repair costs.
For reference, here are some other situations when repairs will not be covered by your Chevy warranty:

- Environmental conditions and severe weather
- Aftermarket products
