Are all Toyota RAV4s AWD?
I was thinking about getting a new car, and I was shocked by the good looks and features of the Toyota RAV4. However, I’m not exactly sure if it has one option that I really want—all-wheel drive. Do all Toyota RAV4s come equipped with AWD?

Not all Toyota RAV4s are AWD, but it’s an optional feature on all the trim levels that don’t come with it standard.
As of the 2023 model year, the following trims do not have AWD, but you can add it for an additional $1,400:
- LE
- XLE
- XLE Premium
- Limited
That said, several versions of the RAV4 come with AWD standard, including all hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions—known as the RAV4 Hybrid and the RAV4 Prime. In addition, two regular, gas-powered versions of the RAV4 also come with standard AWD:
- Adventure
- TRD Off-Road
