From time to time, you may feel like you’ve walked by a celebrity but weren’t sure it was them. In the same way, people can witness legendary cars driving down the street without recognizing it.
This is bound to happen with Bumblebee and Barricade from Transformers since they’re actually created from iconic sports cars.

You might have walked past a “Transformers” vehicle without recognizing it.

What cars are Bumblebee and Barricade?

What was the source of inspiration for these transforming cars? According to Autoblog, the Transformers are constructed from actual vehicles, rather than computer models.
Bumblebee is a Chevy Camaro with an Autobot's brain. Barricade is primarily disguised as a police vehicle, complete with flashing lights and sirens, and is based on a 2017 Ford Mustang muscle car.
Both of these characters have gone through several changes over the years as new movies were released, as reported by Autoblog.

Meet Bumblebee

Bumblebee is a 2017 Chevrolet Camaro that has been extensively modified. The car's canary yellow paint and black stripes aren't the only things that have been altered from its original appearance.
It also features a wider grille and additional vents to make the transition from an automobile to a robot as seamless as possible. In Transformers: The Last Knight, Bumblebee seems to take the form of a convertible vehicle.
The Camaro itself can be equipped with a roaring V-6 or V-8 engine. It’s maneuverable and has an intimidating look. The 2017 model has better fuel efficiency than the previous model year. To match Bumblebee's look, you may choose between a conventional top and a convertible top.

Meet Barricade

The Decepticon Barricade is a 2017 Ford Mustang. The Mustang they utilized is virtually identical to the one that’s in production. With the exception of the police paint and lights, the 2017 Mustang is the same as the iconic car you see in the movie.
The 2017 Ford Mustang is available in three distinct convertible trim levels, with the GT Premium trim being rated as the finest of the bunch by Kelley Blue Book. All three cars are four-seat coupes, but only the GT has the horsepower and V-8 engine that enables the vehicle to fly down the road like a rocket.
Though the Camaro and Mustang have seen various changes since the shooting of Transformers: The Last Knight, these 2017 versions will always be known for their role as the robots they depict. You can get your hands on an Autobot or Decepticon decal for your own classic car to drive as one of the Transformers.
Your sports car won’t be able to morph and battle on its own, but you’ll still need to have insurance to protect it on the road.
