Coolest 'Stranger Things' Cars

Nostalgic nerds rejoice, as the fourth season of Stranger Things is set to release soon. We'll keep our eyes peeled for any new
car brands
that may appear in the show.
The official release date for the fourth season is yet to be announced, but it is anticipated it will be in the middle of 2022. Stranger Things takes place in the mid-80s, and displays some beautiful wheels from that era.
While we do love ‘90s cars, let's not overlook the decade of synth and scrunchies. With the help of
Driving.ca
, we decided to take a look back at some of the most iconic cars from the hit Netflix show.
"Stranger Things" had fun with bringing back some iconic cars from the ‘80s.

The Camaro from ‘Stranger Things’

Billy Hargrove is a hothead from California who didn't like being forced to move to Indiana during the show's second season. With his loud, noticeable attitude, it's fitting that he drives a Camaro.
Specifically, Billy drives a 1979 base trim Camaro. Since Billy arrived in Hawkins in 1984, the Camaro model is a bit dated. Not a bad set of wheels for a kid in high school, but perhaps not the best muscle car money can buy.

Everybody loves Chief Jim Hopper, and we love his K5 Blazer even more. As this is a police-issue Blazer, it comes with bronze accents and "Hawkins Police Department" branding.
One of our favorite things about this now discontinued model is how similar it is to a Ford Bronco. The back roof is detachable, giving this SUV some versatility.
This isn't the first time a K5 Blazer was depicted in pop culture. If the car looks familiar, there's a reason. Chief Brody from Jaws also drove a K5, albeit from an earlier generation. While most cops in the ‘70s and ‘80s drove Crown Victorias, Hopper and Chief Brody lucked out and got a cooler set of wheels.

What about Barb?!

Oh, Barb. For some reason, her disappearance in season one was ignored by most of the main characters, but not the fans. While she was struggling in the Upside Down, sharp fans looked for clues that involved her car.
Barb drove a 1986 Volkswagen Golf Cabriolet. Owning a car like this would indicate an upper-middle-class standing, especially if driven by a teen in high school. But the most curious thing about this car, caught by Driving.ca, is that Barb was driving it in 1983, a few years before its release.
Whether or not Barb is a time traveler, Stranger Things has no shortage of great car features, a pattern we hope to see continued in next season.
