The pandemic may have stopped the production of the improved Frontier for a little while, but it will be available soon. However, there have been improvements in all areas of the vehicle.The power train and engine were switched out for better, more efficient versions. The frame got an upgrade to provide more stability and durability. Inside the cabin, the infotainment center is new along with the dual air conditioning.
What’s not new are the pushbuttons and placement of the driver's setup. Everything is in the same place as the older versions, and the only touch buttons are on the screen itself.

The redesign improves the ride, increases safety, and adds in desired technological advances. The Frontier still rides a little bumpy with an empty truck bed, but with its part-time four-wheel drive, it’s fully capable of off-roading.
Not everything was updated, so the truck isn't without its faults. The steering can be a bit tough at low speeds, and the estimated 19 mpg is only slightly improved over the previous version. The back seat is also midsize and uncomfortable, a fact that hasn't changed since the original.
