How many seats does the 2023 Nissan Rogue have?

The 2023 Nissan Rogue has five seats across all trim levels.
In recent years, Nissan has moved to focus on maximizing passenger and cargo space in the Rogue at the expense of the third row. While this has reduced the seating capacity by two, Nissan has done an outstanding job in upgrading the comfort and storage area of the Rogue.

Do all Rogues have three rows of seats?

Unfortunately, if you’re looking at the newest 2023 Nissan Rogue, it does not have three rows of seats.
However, if you want three rows of seats and are set on getting a Rogue, you can consider buying a used car from model years 2017 or earlier. Be sure to look for a model that has the Family Package added to the S or SV trim
To help you decide if the Rogue is sufficient for your family’s needs, we have broken down the interior specs and features of the 2023 Rogue.

2023 Nissan Rogue interior

The Nissan Rogue’s interior is a perfect marriage between the Altima family sedan and the Sentra compact sedan with a modern flair. Not only are the front and second-row seats spacious and comfortable, but you can also upgrade the cloth seats to faux-leather upholstery.
Storage cubbies are also thoughtfully distributed in the cabin, convenient for quickly stowing away loose items and toys. Higher trims come standard with genuine leather seats that bring a touch of luxury to the interior look and feel.

This SUV may look compact but it is surprisingly accommodating in cabin space, even for tall drivers and passengers.

Cargo space

Cargo space has been greatly improved in the 2023 Rogue. The second row offers a 50/50 split seat that can be folded down, allowing more flexibility to hold larger items.
With all the seats folded down, the Nissan Rogue has a maximum trunk space of 74.1 cubic feet with a length of 72 inches. However, if you have passengers in the back, the cargo area shrinks to 36.5 cubic feet with a length of 36.8 inches
For comparison, the Toyota RAV4 cargo volume has a total of 69.8 cubic feet with the rear seats folded down and 37.6 cubic feet if the second row is up. The starting MSRP of the Rogue is around $300 higher than the RAV4, but the Rogue would be a better deal for a larger total cargo volume.

Which other Nissan vehicles can seat eight people?

With only five seats, the Rogue might not be the best daily driver for larger families, but rather a secondary car for errands that don’t require the whole family to tag along. However, if you’re set on getting a Nissan, there are other options for seating up to eight.
The
Nissan Pathfinder
is a three-row SUV that can seat up to eight across all trims. Buyers can opt for captain’s chairs in place of the second-row bench seat, but this brings the capacity down to seven. Like the Rogue, the Pathfinder has a well-thought-out placement of storage cubbies throughout the cabin and even includes a large bin under the center console. Upper trims use more premium materials and have heated and ventilated front seats.
Another Nissan eight-seater is the
Armada
, a decadent eight-passenger large SUV with a third-row comfortable enough for adults. A seven-seat configuration is once again available as an upgrade. The interior is spacious and comfy, and easily reconfigurable—the second row easily folds down manually. A power-folding third row is standard on SL and above but can be inconvenient with its slow pace.
