background
The typical lug pattern for a Chrysler falls between 5x5 and 5x4.5, but you’ll need to know your wheels’ exact measurements to switch out your rims.
Nothing lasts forever, including your rims. Sometimes all those long, luxurious drives in your Chrysler can lead to wear and tear on your rims that call for replacements. Or maybe your style choices have changed, and you want to upgrade your rims to match. Whatever your reason, you’ll need to know your Chrysler’s lug pattern before you make the swap.

Why you should know your Chrysler’s lug pattern

A lug pattern will tell you the number of lug holes on your car’s wheels and the diameter of the imaginary circle they create. You will see two numbers in the lug pattern: the first number tells you the number of lugs, and the second tells you the spacing.
The diameter measurements can either be in millimeters or inches, but all the measurements presented in this article will be in inches. For example, a lug pattern of 5x5 shows that there are five lug holes arranged in a circle with a five-inch diameter.
You’ll need to know your Chrysler’s lug pattern if you ever want—or need—to swap your current wheels for a new set.

Lug pattern terminology 101

Don’t let all those values on that table scare you! Knowing what a few key terms mean will make it much simpler to figure out what you’re looking at.
OEM wheel size: OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer. So, the OEM wheel size indicates the diameter of the original wheel that was put on your vehicle in a Chrysler factory.
Lug pattern: The lug pattern can also be called a bolt pattern or a bolt circle, and it is composed of two numbers. The first number refers to the number of lug holes on the wheel, and the second number tells you the diameter in either inches or millimeters.
Offset: The offset of a wheel describes the distance of the center of the rim from the mounting surface. A positive offset tells you that the wheels are closer to the fender well, and a negative offset means they stick out further.
Stud size: You can find two different expressions of stud sizes. Stud sizes in the U.S. are written as the stud diameter x threads per inch, such as 1/2x20. If you’re outside of the U.S., you’ll see the metric expression of stud diameter x distance between threads, like 14mm x 1.50.
Center bore: The center bore of a wheel tells you about the center opening in a wheel that connects it to the hub.

How to measure your Chrysler’s lug pattern

If your Chrysler model isn’t listed in the above table, here is an easy way to measure your own lug pattern:
Begin by counting the number of lugs on your wheel. Typically, there will be four, five, six, or eight.
Then, you’ll measure the diameter of the imaginary circle the lugs make with a measuring tape or a ruler. The number of lugs on your wheel will determine where you place the measuring device:
  • For an even number of lugs, you’ll measure from the center of one lug to the center of the lug directly opposite it.
  • For an odd number of lugs, you’ll measure from the center of one lug to the outer edge of one of the lugs opposite it.
Whatever measurement you come up with is your Chrysler’s lug pattern!
So, if you counted five lugs and came up with a measurement of 4.5 inches, your lug pattern is 5x4.5
