How to reset the Chevy Impala tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) light

You may notice that your tire warning light stays on instead of shutting off immediately after you inflate your tires to the recommended tire pressure. This is normal—usually, this means your TPMS hasn’t received the new pressure information from its sensors yet, so driving for a little while can fix the issue.

Completely deflating the tires after overinflating them to 3 psi over the recommended amount, then re-inflating them to the recommended pressure again can also turn off the TPMS light.
