First, you’ll need to assemble the required tools. You’ll need a carjack, jack stands, a fluid transfer pump, and a pan to drain the old fluid into. When you have all of those tools handy, here’s what you’ll need to do:

Step 1: Raise the Acura using the carjack and jack stands. Make sure it’s secure, then locate the differential drain bolt. Position the pan underneath, then loosen and remove the bolt. The old fluid will begin draining out. Make sure you give it adequate time to drain completely.

Step 2: Once the fluid is finished draining, wipe away any excess gear oil. Replace the differential drain bolt and tighten.

Step 3: Locate and remove the gear oil fill bolt. Then, using the fluid transfer pump, slowly fill the differential with fluid. Stop pumping once you’ve reached the recommended amount or when gear oil begins leaking out.

Step 4: Replace the fill plug, wipe away any excess gear oil, and you’re done!
