How you connect to your Bluetooth in your
Mitsubishi Outlander
will partially depend on your car’s model year and trim designation. But in most cases, it’s an easy and pain-free process that can be accomplished in the same few steps.The first step is to ensure your car and your phone’s Bluetooth capabilities are turned on. Once you’ve done both, follow these next steps:
- Locate and select the phone icon in your vehicle’s settings. In older models, this will usually be a physical button in your vehicle, while in newer ones it’s often housed within your digital touchscreen display (along with other vehicle settings).
- Select your vehicle from your phone’s list of available devices. Once you’ve selected the phone icon, a screen with your car’s name and pin number should appear. Commonly, it may appear as a “hands-free system” or “Mitsubishi Motors.” Find it in your phone’s Bluetooth settings and click on it to initiate pairing.
- Enter/confirm the pin number. You may be prompted to confirm your vehicle’s pin before pairing can be completed. Once you’ve entered the number shown on your display screen, allow at least 10 to 20 seconds for the pairing to finish.
You’ll know pairing is successful when your car’s display screen asks if you would like to import your device’s phonebook. Select your choice, and that’s it—you’re ready to start streaming audio and calls from your phone to your car!
