tasks. Just don’t forget to record the torque specifications, wheel size, stud size, offset, and center bore, too!
Let’s get into the details of your Ford Ranger’s bolt pattern as well as some DIY tips for measuring a car’s bolt pattern right in your own driveway!

1994 Ford Ranger bolt pattern

The 1994 Ford Ranger has a 5x4.5 bolt pattern meaning there are five bolts arranged in a 4.5-inch circle on each tire.
To better understand this specification, it’s important to know that these numbers represent the number of bolts in the pattern followed by the diameter of the circle formed by the bolts. For the 1994 Ranger, for example, you’ll see five bolts arranged in a 4.5-inch diameter circle.
Before you start removing your tires, however, don’t forget that you’ll need to know the torque specifications, wheel size, stud size, offset, and center bore, too. This will ensure that you properly install the new tires for your vehicle.
The following are the measurements for each of these necessary elements of changing out your car wheels:
  • Factory wheel size: 14” to 15”
  • Stud size: M12 x 1.5  (midsize stud with a fine thread)
  • Offset: Medium (-10 to 18 mm)
  • Center bore: 70.5 mm
  • Wheel tightening torque: 130 Nm

How to measure your Ford Ranger’s bolt pattern

Following these specifications, you should be able to switch out the tires on your Ford Ranger on your own. If you’d prefer to check the bolt pattern on your Ford yourself, however, it’s actually a pretty easy process.
First, grab the nearest measuring tape or ruler. On your Ranger’s tire, pick a bolt and measure the distance from the outer edge of your bolt’s lug hole to the very middle of the bolt that’s on the other side of the circle.
Or, since there are an odd number of bolts on your Ranger, you can also measure to the middle of the two opposite bolts in order to get an accurate number. This is where a ruler can be helpful since it forms a stiff, straight line!
This measurement represents the diameter of your vehicle’s bolt pattern. Combine that with the number of bolts on your tire to find your bolt pattern!
