Standard technological features include an 8.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability, and attractive optional upgrades such as built-in navigation, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and a Bose stereo with nine speakers. The best thing, however, is how incredibly straightforward and no-nonsense all of these features are to use!

You’ll enjoy comfortable handling and a smooth ride regardless of which engine you choose—the standard 163-hp turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine, or the top-of-the-line turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder, which generates 250 horsepower and 260 lb-feet of torque.Inside, you’ll find a comfortable and ergonomic space with plenty of cargo space and small storage spaces throughout—although it may look a bit chintzy. You’ll have to upgrade to the higher trim levels—either the LT or the Premier—for the most desirable features like heated and power-adjustable front seats.
7. Volkswagen Passat

Weak spot: Bland looking on the outside, no hybrid or all-wheel drive models available

Volkswagen Passat
may not look like much, it still serves as a great option thanks to its incredible affordability, spacious cabin, and its long list of standard driver-assistance features. Although the top trims aren’t much of a splurge, you won’t even need to upgrade to enjoy the Passat’s smooth and reliable 174-hp turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with a six-speed automatic transmission.
The inside is unassuming but quite comfy and very roomy. If you just need to move some boxes, you can fold down the rear seatbacks and squeeze in up to 16 medium boxes behind the front seats.
8. Mazda 6

Selling points: Incredibly attractive, luxury vibes at an affordable price

A top-notch six-speed automatic transmission rounds out the drivetrain for a steadily exciting experience.
Unfortunately, the Mazda 6 was not released for the 2022 model year, so you’ll need to consider a used or certified pre-owned model or hope you get lucky at the Mazda dealership.
