background
This cute little hatchback is slow but affordable. With four trim levels, there are options for luxury with some 2022 Mitsubishi Mirage configurations. Expect to pay between $14,645 and $17,895 MSRP
Let’s start with the bad news. The Mitsubishi Mirage is rated 2.5/10 by Car and Driver. That’s a pretty woeful rating, even in the subcompact category. But the Mirage has a lot going for it. The Mirage’s small size means great mileage, easy parking, and affordability. Snail-like acceleration may leave you dissatisfied, but for the price, you can’t really complain.
There are four trim levels and several optional packages with this model. Here to help you understand all the possible 2022 Mitsubishi Mirage configurations is the

2022 Mitsubishi Mirage configurations

The Mirage is basically the 5-door hatchback version of the G4 sedan. Cargo capacity is an epic 47 cubic feet with the rear seats lowered.
Mitsubishi also offers one of the best warranties on the market, with 10-year coverage.
There are four trim levels. Each has a tame 78-hp, 1.2L three-cylinder engine and comes standard with front-wheel drive. Its fuel economy is impressive: 36 mpg in the city and 43 mpg on the highway with the continuously variable transmission (CVT).
The Mirage comes in eight colors: Starlight Silver, Infrared, Sapphire Blue, Wine Red, Mercury Gray, White Diamond, and Mystic Black.
Welcome and departure lighting is standard across all four Mirages, as well as a 7-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, and automated emergency braking.
Upgrades are minimal when it comes to factory-installed options, but dealer-installed options with the Mirage include:
  • Rockford Fosgate Premium Audio System ($595)
  • Front and rear parking sensors ($655)
  • Remote start system ($550, only available on the Mirage SE)
  • All-weather package with cargo tray and all-weather floor mats ($160)
  • Black-out appearance package ($395)
  • Chrome package ($495)
  • Protection value package ($395)
Let’s explore the configurations in more detail.

Mirage ES with FWD

Starting price: $15,975
The ES stands out because it comes standard with a five-speed manual transmission or optional CVT. Otherwise, the ES has basic amenities like cruise control, automatic climate control, remote keyless entry, and cloth seats.

Mirage LE with FWD

Starting price: $17,925
This trim level has the CVT, and also upgrades to 14-inch alloy wheels and a leather/aluminum shifter knob. Plus, there’s LE badging—but that’s nothing to write home about.

Mirage Black Edition with FWD

Starting price: $18,525
Add some spice to your life with black 15-inch alloy wheels, black exterior trim accents, and red interior accents. The Black Edition also gives you automatic headlights, rain-sensing wipers, and a leather-trimmed steering wheel.

Mirage SE with FWD

Starting price: $19,225
The best part of the SE is the additional safety features, including lane-departure warning, automatic high-beam headlamps, and a nifty push-button ignition.

Protection Value Package

Starting price: + $395
This includes a rear bumper protector, scuff plates, front and rear mudguards, and a roadside assistance kit.

Black-out Appearance Package

Starting price: + $395
This includes black lug nuts and wheel locks, black leather/aluminum shift knob, and black interior console and vent trim.

Chrome package

Starting price: + $495
This includes a chrome exhaust finisher, chrome meter cluster, tailgate garnish, chrome mirror cover, and headlight garnish.
