vehicle identification number

(VIN) and the radio serial number.

Your VIN is in a few different places: at the base of the windshield, on your insurance card, and your vehicle’s registration.

To find the radio’s serial number, turn your ignition to the “ON” position. Turn on your radio, and it should display “CODE.” Turn the radio off, then press and hold the 1 and 6 preset buttons.
