With Dad (Nissan, 2015)

The “With Dad” commercial Nissan aired at the Super Bowl in 2015 really tugged at the heartstrings of many viewers.
“With Dad” tells the short story of a race car driver who has to leave his wife and children at home to do what he loves and chase his dreams in the automotive world. This one resonated with people who have parents that work in any industry, and showcased the difficult balancing act between work and personal life.

Darth Vader (Volkswagen, 2011)

2011 was a good year for Super Bowl car commercials and Volkswagen followed that trend with their feel good car commercial “Darth Vader.”
This adorable commercial opens with a little boy who’s convinced he has powers like Darth Vader. Viewers see him attempting to test his theory on the family dog, dryer, and more, to no avail. But, when he tries to test his powers on his dad’s Volkswagen, he sees the engine roar to life. Then, the camera pans to dad, holding his Volkswagen starter key.
This one is guaranteed to put a smile on your face. And as
Forbes
points out, this Volkswagen commercial was actually ranked the sixth best Super Bowl commercial of all time.

Release the Hounds (Audi, 2011)

Some of the best Super Bowl commercials are the ones that tell stories so intricate, we forget we’re watching a commercial and might even think we’re watching a short film or television show. Audi succeeded in this mission with their “Release the Hounds” commercial that aired in 2011.
This commercial shows prisoners trying to escape from the most luxurious prison in the world. As the prisoners make a run for it, Audi throws some shade at their competitor Mercedes-Benz, when the prisoner who got in the Audi getaway car escapes, but the prisoner who lands in a Mercedes does not.

So God Made a Farmer (Ram, 2013)

The Ram commercial “So God Made a Farmer” makes the list both for its captivating story and its stunning cinematography.
As the narrator describes the intricacies of the difficult life a farmer faces each morning, you can’t help but find a newfound respect for those who work to keep the population fed. Throughout the commercial, shots of farmers utilizing Ram trucks to do their work are showcased.
