The 2017 Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta background and specs

The LaFerrari Aperta was only sold from 2016 to 2018 with a limited production of 210 models made. What was rare and exclusive for the 2017 LaFerrari Aperta is its hybrid system (HY-KERS) which used both a naturally aspirated 6.3-liter V12 engine with one electric motor and a battery pack.
That helped generate the hypercar’s 950 hp with a 0 to 60 time of under 3 seconds and a top speed of over 217 mph.

2017 Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta design

The car is finished in Rosso Corsa with a black leather interior and Alcantar upholstery with red accents. Despite being a convertible, the 2017 LaFerrari Aperta it has the same performance as the coupe version of the model.
This convertible version, the Aperta, differs in its design from the LaFerrari in terms of the rear buttresses, roll-over hoop, and a carbon fiber chassis, with the options of either a carbon fiber hard-top or a fabric soft-top.
Some of these changes in design were made to help give the same performance of the LaFerrari coupe. The vehicle’s torsional strength and aerodynamics were altered to give it the same drag coefficient.
One model of the 2017 Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta that Top Speed looked at in particular featured a quad-exit exhaust, enamel Ferrari door shields, a rear camera and parking sensors, rear Pirelli P Zero tires, bi-xenon headlights, a carbon-fiber hardtop, and a carbon-fiber windshield frame and roof trim panel.
The carbon-fiber features mentioned added an additional $112,000 to the price.

How much does this rare hypercar cost?

The power, new tech like the hybrid system, and design of the vehicle help give some insight as to why the vehicle was so expensive, beyond the brand’s well-known high ticket value.
At the time it was first released, the 2017 Ferrari La Ferrari Aperta sold for $3.5 million, but the one that was mentioned by TopSpeed recently sold for $5 million
Given the rarity of the car not only did it appreciate in value, but with an odometer that read only 161 miles, it’s no wonder why it sold for such a steep price.
