for its build quality, but having so many different 1500 models out there appears to be causing some confusion.Consequently, one question we often hear is “is there a Ram Rebel TRX?”
There is not! The Rebel is one of six available trim options for the popular Ram 1500 truck, and while the TRX does share some of its DNA with the Rebel, it is a completely separate vehicle, considered a performance-based model of the RAM 1500 line.
So this begs the question, what exactly is the difference between the 2021 Ram 1500 Rebel and the 2021 Ram 1500 TRX?

explains that while there are some similarities between the two trucks, the differences are significant.Firstly, while the TRX’s exterior styling draws heavily on that of the Rebel, the TRX is undoubtedly bigger, with wider fenders, bigger wheels, and an imposing hood scoop. As you would expect, the driver sits a little higher in the TRX and the cabin feels more spacious.
The Rebel is available as either a two or four-wheel drive, without the option of an all-wheel drive transfer case. The TRX does nothing by half, and is only available as a four-wheel drive with Ram's all-wheel drive transfer case, pushing additional power from the transmission to the front and rear axles.
Under the hood, the base model Ram 1500 Rebel has a 3.6L V-6 engine, capable of pushing out 305 hp and 269 lb-ft of torque. There are two engine upgrades available for the Rebel, but neither come close to the mighty 6.2L V-8 found in the Ram TRX, which thrashes out 702 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque.
These upgrades don’t come cheap, with the 2021 Ram 1500 TRX ranging in price from around $70,425 to $95,000 (plus significant dealer markups). A base model 2021 Ram 1500 Rebel costs around $46,670, topping out at $78,000 for the crew-cab four-wheel drive version.
