If you're new to understanding the car brands of the English upper class, you may be unfamiliar with Mulliner and their association with Bentley. Way back in the early days of British automobiles, cars would be sold without a coach. Buyers would just purchase the assembled engine, drive train, wheels, and controls. It was on the buyer to find a separate coach maker to actually build the car's cabin.
Mulliner was one of the premier coach builders in the early days of automobiles. The company originally produced saddles and carriages for horses, but they evolved their product line to keep up with the times.
While the profession of coach building for cars fell out of favor, Mulliner was able to survive. They had built the reputation for building some of the most comfortable and luxurious coaches and were sought after by car companies, including Bentley. In 1959, Mulliner was purchased by Bentley and now exclusively designs for their parent company.
Today, a Mulliner Bentley is an indication of a customized interior that is exceptionally more luxurious than a plain old vanilla Bentley.
Meet the Space Bentley Bentayga
While Elon Musk was able to send a Tesla to space, Mulliner and Bentley decided it was time to bring space to its drivers. Specifically, Bentley Orlando wanted a Mulliner-designed Bentley that celebrated the space industry of Florida. That was achieved through their customization of a Bentley Bentayga, as reported by MotorTrend
. Mulliner created a mostly Blackline color interior that is paired with dramatic Orange Flame accents. This color combination is supposed to represent solar flares shooting off into the darkness of space. Inside, you'll find hidden still plates that depict the planets of our solar system.

Can you buy a Space Bentley Bentayga?
The Space Bentley Bentayga was a special custom order, meaning that it won't be mass-produced. If you really want this car, you'd need to buy it from the original customer or ask Mulliner if they'll make another one for you.
Be prepared to drop a pretty penny for a Space Bentley Bentayga. A normal Bentley Bentayga already has a ballpark cost of $200,000 before any customization work is done. While Mulliner hasn't officially released how much the customization cost, we wouldn't be surprised if it's in the seven-figure range.
