Mattel listens to its consumers when it comes to cars they would like to see released yet, and it seems that their wishes when it comes to the 1982 Lamborghini Countach
LP500 S will be granted. According to autoevolution.com
, when it comes to consumers’ thoughts, Hot Wheels’ parent company Mattel, allows people to decide which wheels, decorations, and colors they would like on the vehicles they choose for that year. Hence, the blue limited-edition Lamborghini. In March of 2022 consumers got to vote between a bevy of classic car castings including the 1969 Chevy Camaro SS, 1971 Datsun 510, 1982 Lamborghini Countach LP500 S, 1991 BMW
M3, and Volkswagen T1 Rockster. The Countach won by thousands of votes. From late March until early April fans were able to choose between five color options: Shadowcrome, Bright Yellow, Bright Orange, Antifreeze, and Ice Blue.
With over 4,000 votes Ice Blue was chosen as the color for this rare car. Next were the wheel options which Mattel gave fans six options to choose from. With some fo the highest votes yet, consumers chose the Real Rider Modern wheels with silver hubcaps.
Alongside six different Real Riders options, Mattel also added a set of newly launched Neo-Classics Deep-Dish wheels.
Ordering the Hot Wheels’ Lamborghini Countach LP500 S
On July 12th the 1982 Lamborghini Countach LP500 S will be available to order until July 25th. Given that the car is made to order you may have to wait between several months to a year before you receive it.
Based on what’s known, anyone can order the car if they have a Hot Wheels RLC membership, and you can purchase as many as you’d like. The Lamborghini Countach LP500 S will come in an acrylic case and a well-made outer box at $30 each.
