Why is my brand new car noisy?

I just bought a brand new Jeep, but I’ve noticed that it’s been making a lot of noise since I’ve started driving it. Some of my friends have reported similar problems with their respective cars (not Jeeps). Is it normal for a brand new car to be noisy?

Congrats on the new car!
When it comes to the noise, you are likely hearing the squeaking that comes with breaking in brand new brake pads. This noise commonly pops up when the brake pads are new (whether or not they’re on a new car).
However, if you’re not hearing a squeaking noise, you may have another underlying issue on your hands. These issues can range from a whirring sound caused by bad power steering mechanics, rod knocking sounds indicating an issue with the internal engine, or a pinging sound indicating a range of potential internal engine issue—not to mention numerous other possible sounds!
Your best bet is to book a visit at your local mechanic and have them diagnose the issue.
