I’m sorry to hear about your sticky windshield wipers, that’s definitely a pain!
Windshield wipers are a necessary part of driving, just like having

and a full gas tank. Sometimes wipers can get stuck in the up position—here are the reasons they can get stuck and tips on how to fix it:
  • Dirty windshield: Dirt and debris on the windshield can cause windshield wipers to stick, so try cleaning it with a glass cleaner.
  • Wiper mechanism: You may need to check the wiper mechanism under the hood. Carefully remove the cover beneath the windshield after disconnecting the washer fluid line and windshield wipers. Find the metal tab on the right side of the wiper transmission, hammer it back into the right position, then check for proper operation.
If these hacks don’t work, there may be an electrical issue and you will need to have an expert take a look for you.
