Why are car dealerships closed on Sunday?

I’ve noticed that almost every car dealership in my area is closed on Sundays. Why is that? I would think that a lot of people would want to buy cars during the weekend since they don’t have to go to work.

While it might seem like the weekend is a great time to sell cars, you’re right that car dealerships are typically closed on Sundays. This is because many states ban car sales on Sundays.
These laws are called Blue Laws, and they prevent people from
buying or selling cars
on Sunday. They were originally put in place for religious reasons since some religions restrict certain activities on Sundays in favor of attending church services.
