Who is the Farmers Insurance guy?

I keep seeing commercials for Farmers Insurance, and the guy looks familiar, but I can’t place him—who is he?

If you think the guy on TV looks familiar, you’re right! The Farmers Insurance guy is J.K. Simmons. The Farmers commercial he’s most well-known for is the professor that recounts stories of stranger-than-fiction claims based on real tales by policyholders—but he’s more than just an insurance guy!
The 66-year-old actor racked up over a dozen credits in 2021 alone and throughout his acting career has been featured in numerous hit movies and TV shows such as Juno, the Spider-Man movies, Up in the Air, and Oz.
