Which SUV is better, GMC or Chevy?
Okay, my partner and I are trying to shop for a new SUV, and she’s telling me that Chevy and GMC are basically the same thing since they’re both owned by GM. Is she right, or is one better than the other?

Your partner is right that both Chevy and GMC are owned and produced by GM, but there are more differences between them than you might think. As to which SUV is better, GMC or Chevy? That depends on what you value most in a vehicle.
At the base level, GMC and Chevy SUVs will be nearly identical, but as you climb the trim ladder, you’ll find more luxury features and options in a GMC than in a comparable Chevy. These luxury perks come with a larger price tag, so while a Tahoe and a Yukon ride on the same platform, the Yukon’s starting price is about $4k higher.
