Which all-electric cars have six passengers?
I’m interested in buying an EV, but I’m a mom of four younger ones, so I need at least 6 seats (since most of my kids can’t sit in the front seat yet). Which fully-electric cars have six passengers?

Great question! Unfortunately, there aren’t any fully-EV minivans available in the US, however, the Tesla Model Y can seat 7 and the Chrysler Pacifica serves as a PHEV minivan option.
The Chrysler Pacifica is the very first of its kind: a minivan EV and as the company advertises, it is great for families and the environment. Its base model, the Touring-L begins at $51,000, and its Pinnacle model (the most expensive) starts at $56,000.
The models each have seven seats and lots of trunk space for groceries, and other storage. All models are equipped with front-wheel drive and a 3.6L Pentastar hybrid engine. Running on both gasoline and battery power, the Pacifica is highly fuel-efficient at about 82mpg or about 2.9L per kilometer.
If a Tesla Model Y is in your budget range, then it is a great full EV option granting you both the seating, space, and fuel type you’re looking for. The 2022 Model Y has a starting cost of about $58,000 which is not that much more than the Chrylser. The Model Y is suited with dual-motor all-wheel drive and a long range of 329 miles (531km). If you’re interested in purchasing a Tesla, this might be the one for you.
