If you want someone else to handle it, RR Racing is a good resource for a basic tune for this model. You can either go into a shop for a dyno tune or mail your ECU in for an upgrade.
Headers and exhaust will help, too. Bolt-on mods can help improve performance from an ECU tune. Note that it may take a few miles (like 40-50) for a new file to optimize properly.
It’s important to be aware that you may only achieve an improvement of a few horsepower—and it may cost you hundreds of dollars.
