But more specifically, Toyota is from Aichi Prefecture, just outside of the city of Nagoya where it was founded on August 28, 1937. Today, Toyota has made such an imprint on the area that it now has its own city—Toyota headquarters are officially in Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture, Japan.
