I suppose I always assumed car batteries went under the car’s hood, but that must not be true for a Mercedes GL450. Where can I find the battery for my car?

That’s a fair assumption; most vehicles have their batteries located under the hood!
But in the case of the Mercedes-Benz GL450 battery location, it will be under the front passenger seat. You may need to remove a floor rug and panel to get access to the battery.
